Theme: Machine learning and disaster relief.
Location: Station Houston, 1301 Fannin St.
Hours: Friday 6 pm to 10 pm, Sat & Sun 8 am to 6 pm.

UPDATE 7 September 2017

We are geophysicists — we know data, analytics, and uncertainty. There are plenty of applied problems to work on in geoscience and natural resources, but the ongoing hardship caused by Hurricane Harvey presents a new opportunity. We have the chance to contribute directly to the recovery effort, or to think about how geophysical data can inform disaster mitigation and preparedness. Teams of five will be working on projects around geophysical machine learning and/or disaster mitigation and relief.
