This event is for those hackathon participants who feel they would benefit from some practical training and guidance before the hackathon kicks off. The bootcamp will consist of several small group sessions and tutorials to get you equipped and up to up to speed for the weekend. Hackathon main event.
The theme will be MACHINE LEARNING. Teams of 4 will be exploring geological datasets, applying the latest methods and models to tease out new insights. Beginners and professionals alike will be spending the weekend eating tacos and creating new stuff.

Skill up for the Subsurface Hackathon! We'll be providing three tracks for learning new skills — choose the one that's right for you:
- Introduction to Python and matplotlib (for beginners!)
- Augmented and virtual reality masterclass
The theme will be VISUALIZATION AND INTERACTION. Teams of 5 will be exploring subsurface datasets, figuring out new ways to display and interact with data — from beautiful plots to 3D rendering, and from augmented to fully virtual reality. Come and play!
