I first made this CV (or resumé, if you prefer) in about 2009, and have been maintaining it ever since. I had made some slightly wacky CVs before, when I applied for jobs at the end of my doctorate — one of them was for ?What If! Innnovation; I sometimes wonder what would have become of me if I’d got a job there. In the end I decided to go to Statoil because my wife and I really wanted to live abroad and I wasn’t quite ready to stop being a geologist yet.
