Hackathons

There's no beating hackathons for buzz. Setting 20–60 scientists to work on a problem for 2–3 days is the fastest way to explore a new concept, or generate a new product idea, or just have fun and build skills. If you don't know where to start, start here.

Unconferences

It turns out that you don't need to organize people into sessions, with chairpersons and agendas. Your real job is to create the conditions for scientists to collaborate and share their research with each other in a dynamic and flexible way. 

Bootcamps

A bootcamp is a training course with a specific, defined problem at its heart. We learn by doing, by teaching each other, and by repeatedly pushing ourselves outside our comfort zones. Our events are built around solving technical problems with Python.
